It always bothered me how in game everyone's saying "Oh, the Geth build for utility and not for looks," and I'm like DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW IMPRACTICAL IT IS TO BUILD YOUR SHIPS TO LOOK LIKE GIANT BUGS WHY WOULD YOU BUILD YOUR FIGHTERS LIKE THAT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOUR FRIGATES WHICH CAN FLY IN ATMO IT MAKES NO SENSE TO HAVE YOUR SHIPS STREAMLINED LIKE THAT.

I don't see the issue. Can't these fighters go up, down, left and right on the spot like a bee? Also, the Geth would be flying them. I believe these could be one of the best fighters in the Galaxy.

I don't think they're omnidirectional. Nothing in the games indicate they are, even though they should. Couple that with the whole segmented body, means that they are hella fragile.

Compare the Borg to the Geth. Both state that they have the same design philosophy; efficiency. A cube? That's easy to build. What the Geth make? That's not only impractical, but prevents bow-mounted mass accelerators from being properly mounted.

Hmm, I thought they were "omnidirectional." For some reason, I have the image of one of these fighters flying like that. I'm not sure where it came from.

They should be, but nothing in the games displays that. The books say they are omnidirectional though.
Geth Fighters also have a large target profile.

Is it just me, or do Geth fighters look oddly like Reapers?

Well,all Geth ships look the same, just resized. They look like a giant bug, whereas a Reaper looks like a giant squid.
They look similar, but it's probably just a coincidence.

at least there fighters look different, even though this is 1 of only 5 fighters present in-game(turian, alliance, oculus, geth, and cerberus).
