I rather like the design. Since it is modular, there are so many things you can do with it. I'd own one as a personal yacht, if I could.

Whichever company designed these things must've made a ginormous profit, because they were pretty much the only freighters used in the whole galaxy from what I could tell.

have you thought about trying to do a size comparison of the ships from ME or is there too little data for such a comparison?

Unfortunately, it's to about the data, but rather about the physical sizes of the models relative to each other.
Many of the ships seem to be resized in-game based on their needs, so the models are not indicative of actual size.
