So the turian ships all look alike apparently in design, the frigates look just like cruisers and dreadnoughts save for just a few tweeks. Just easier to notice on the Human ships I guess... that's not racist is it? Since turians were made by humans *looks for that "You Humans are all Racist!" turian*

Whenever I see these beautiful ships, they remind me so much of giant whales crusing through space. Must be the general shape and those long 'fins' or 'flippers' I guess. They're probably meant to resemble birds though. :)

In a basic shape, I always thought they resembled the turian face. I never really looked at it like that. Hm. It's interesting now that you mention it. Turians were supposed to have evolved from an birds or dinosaurs; something similar to the Archaeopteryx, perhaps? The ships do somewhat resemble them.

Wow, that likeness I never saw. :) But it's said their ships use 'scales', I guess they mean those huge overlapping plates and sheets of hull? In any case, the ships are magnificent in my opinion.

Yes, or like some evolutionary cross between bird and dinosaur. I have a hard time seeing the bird reference actually. I guess that sternum ridge is pretty similar to a bird's chest but their faces remind me of felines more than anything. :)
